Accommodation
Roundwood House is an eighteenth-century Georgian home set in approximately 18 acres of woodland and meadow at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, Mountrath. Co Laois.
The main house has six bedrooms in total: three double rooms, one twin room and two triple rooms. The triple rooms can also be made up as doubles if preferred, or with an extra single bed by request.
The Yellow House has four additional bedrooms and is opened by arrangement for family groups staying in the main house, providing overflow accommodation when needed. It is not booked on its own.
Guests are welcome to arrive from 2pm to make the most of the day, with bedrooms available from 3pm.
On arrival, the fire is lit in the Drawing Room and tea, coffee and homemade biscuits are brought through.
Guests are free to use the Drawing Room, Frank’s Library and the gardens throughout their stay.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, though many guests find themselves forgetting about it after a while.
