Mountain Biking
What to Expect
Roundwood House is within easy reach of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, which are home to some of the best mountain biking trails in the country.
The Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Trail is a purpose-built network of single-track trails and forest roads, laid out as a waymarked circular route.
The trails cater for a range of abilities, from steady forest cycling to more technical sections, allowing riders to choose routes that suit their experience, fitness and the time they have available.
The layout makes it straightforward to plan a ride without needing to navigate unfamiliar ground.
Guided Bike Tours
The Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Centre is based in Kinnitty village and offers guided rides for those who would prefer local knowledge on the trails.
Bike hire is also available, with a choice of standard and electric bikes, and lessons can be arranged for beginners or those looking to improve specific skills.
We are happy to point guests towards suitable trailheads, rental options or starting points, depending on the kind of ride they have in mind.
