Roundwood is a wonderful place to gather for a special occasion, whether that’s a big birthday, a significant anniversary, or simply bringing friends or family together because, well, life is short and sometimes that’s reason enough.
Booking the house on an exclusive basis allows you to relax properly and enjoy each other’s company in complete privacy.
Kick off your shoes by the open fire in the Drawing Room, sing at the tops of your voices, or wander down to breakfast in your pyjamas without worrying about strangers.

Life is a Special Occasion
When you book Roundwood exclusively, your group has the house to yourselves.
There are ten bedrooms altogether, six in the main house and four more in the Yellow House, which is opened by arrangement for family groups.
On arrival, you’ll be greeted with tea or coffee and our homemade biscuits or scones.

Relaxing is Productive
The Drawing Room is where most groups naturally gather, whether that’s on arrival or later in the evening.
Warm and comfortable, with the fire always lit, it’s a place for conversation, reading, music and simply being together.
Guests are also welcome to spend time in Frank’s Library, browse the shelves, play cards or Scrabble, or sit quietly with a book.
Housed in the old coach house, the library offers another shared space for the group during your stay.
Life is More Fun if You Play Games
Activities for your group can be organised in advance at your request.
Popular options include foraging with Wild Food Mary, murder mystery evenings or hat-making workshops.
Of course, you may prefer to do very little at all.
The grounds are there to be enjoyed at an easy pace, with meadow paths, woodland walks and the Perimeter Walk offering plenty of scope to wander, sit or simply take things slowly.
