We may not be near the coast but we do get excellent trout from Goatsbridge Farm in Kilkenny, a family run business that places huge emphasis on quality, sustainability and eco-awareness.

A tiny cottage for two tucked away in the corner of the old kitchen garden on the grounds of Roundwood House. Named as one of the "ten best Irish hidey-holes guaranteed to erase memories of the nine to five" by the Irish Independent.

... is small but has everything you'll need, including a dishwasher and washing machine.
Dog Friendly...
While we don't allow dogs to stay in the Main House, we do in both the Forge and Writer's Cottage. The fee is €20 per dog per stay.

Enjoy the idyllic surroundings of the Forge. There are 18 acres of gardens and woodland to explore.

As well as being a wonderful place to relax, the library works well for conferences and gatherings.

There aren't much in the way of books for children in the library but this little girls looks engrossed nonetheless!

When Frank's not reading in the Library he's contemplating which volumes he would like to add to his collection.

The library is also a perfect spot to gather for pre-dinner drinks with your friends/ family.
