We use our own discretion when applying this policy so these rules are not cast in stone but we feel it is important to make guests aware of their liabilities in the event of having to cancel a pre-booked stay.
As a small business we are particularly vulnerable to guests who cancel close to the date of their arrival.
Upon booking we take a credit card number, the details of which we hold until the guest leaves. For any cancellation less than three days prior to arrival we reserve the right to charge up to fifty percent for the first night, twenty five percent for every subsequent night. However, if we fill the rooms after the cancellation we will refund you any charges incurred. In a no-show situation the full accommodation charge will be levied, plus a charge for dinner if booked.
The above does not apply to large group bookings over weekends or self-catering. Please ask us for our cancellation policy regarding such bookings.
Unfortunately, Roundwood is not wheelchair accessible, dating as it does to the 18th century. I should mention that we do sometimes have wheelchair users stay but they either need to have a certain amount of flexibility or be willing to have the chair lifted at certain points. Give me a call if you'd like to discuss further.
